Conferees Introduce Legislation to Secure Border, Fund Government

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Senate and House conferees today filed a comprehensive appropriations package that contains a bipartisan agreement on border security and completes government funding for the current fiscal year.  The legislation provides $22.54 billion in total border security funding, including $1.375 billion for 55 new miles of physical barriers in the most needed areas along the southwest border.  The Senate and House will vote on the package this week, prior to the funding deadline of Friday, February 15.

Senate Passes Measures to Reopen Government Through Feb. 15, Move to Conference on Homeland Security Bill

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Senate Appropriations Committee Chairman Richard Shelby (R-Ala.) today released the following statement regarding his support for legislative measures to reopen the government through February 15, 2019, and send the Homeland Security appropriations bill to a conference committee with the House.  The two measures, H.J.
