Cochran Statement on Death of Former U.S. Senator Ted Stevens
 


WASHINGTON, D.C. -- U.S. Senator Thad Cochran (R-Miss.), vice chairman of the Senate Appropriations Committee, today issued the following statement regarding former U.S. Senator Ted Stevens (R-Alaska), who perished in a plane crash in Alaska:

"This is a terrible tragedy.  He was a mentor and a dear friend to me.  My heart and prayers go out to the families of all those aboard."
